I had dreamed of a trip to Argentina for years and when the chance to go finally presented itself, I jumped at the opportunity.  I knew that a trip to Argentina wouldn't be complete for me without exploring Patagonia or Iguazu.  So, I packed my thermal underwear and my bikini and off I went.

The night Flamenco changed my life

I started taking dance classes when I was a young lass and have loved it ever since.  Dance, like most art forms comes in as many styles as there are colours, which makes it nearly impossible to pick a favourite. Each performance has it's own story or feeling and a great performance has the ability to transport you to a whole new world.  Combine that power with travel and that's one heck of a winning combo. In places like Sevilla that are considered the birth place of a style, it's all that much more magical.

Queen West Arts Crawl

At the beginning of every September there's a sense that as the days begin to shorten, the temperatures start to cool and school and business get back in the swing of things that the fun is over.  But that's not true at all.  The beauty of living somewhere that has four seasons is that each season has it's own special charm.  As the leaves start changing colour a new picture of the city is painted creating the perfect backdrop for some artwork of our very own.

According to What?

Well, according to the Chinese government Ai Weiwei is bad news for business.  According to me, Ai Weiwei is just the kind of artist the world needs.

TIFF without the parties

Did you know that there are people who go to the Toronto International Film Festival who do not care about catching a glimpse of their favourite celebrity or attending exclusive parties?  Well, there are.  For ten days the city of Toronto is taken over by its love for film.  During my TIFF experience I met several people who had taken the week off of work to do nothing but watch film. A few of the chaps I spoke to had watched 30 films! That's three films every day for the duration of the festival.  Bananas!!!

The medina: Where you can't use a map to save your life

Many people will tell you that a map is a traveler's best friend, and it usually is.  Except if you're in the medina.  Here, maps mean NOTHING.
