It's easy to be consumed by the Barcelona party scene, but if you need a break from whatever it is you've gotten yourself into or a place to confess your sins from the past weekend... ahem. Montserrat is the perfect day trip.

Soccer in South America

Admittedly, I'm not the biggest soccer fan in the world, but I do enjoy a good footy match from time to time.  For the past several years I have cheered the efforts of the Argentina soccer team, thereby shaming my father for not supporting the team of our heritage.  Soccer can make some people so touchy.

Medieval Times: Dinner and Tournament: Oh, why good sir.....

If you've ever wanted to swoon over a knight in shining armor, call for a wench to bring you your ale or eat half a chicken with your hands in public, this is the place for you, but only if you're willing to leave the serious version of yourself at the door.  There is no room for bravado in the stands with all that ego in the arena. Medieval Times is celebrating it's 30 year anniversary and it's hard for me to believe that it's been able to sustain itself this long.  I hadn't been to a show in 15 years and as it turns out, not much has changed since the last time I was there.  So why do people keep going back?  It's fun as heck, that's why!

A few ladies taking a bath together... what?

Take it easy there buddy, this is not a letter that I mistakenly posted here instead of sending into Playboy.  Sometimes my travels take me to places and introduce me to experiences I could never have imagined on my own.  Not because they are totally outlandish or out of the realm of possibility, but because I have no other relevant cultural reference.  An authentic hammam in Fez is one of those experiences I wasn't totally prepared for.

I'm just a Flirty Girl working on my Fitness

I like the going to the gym.  I like to feel the burn and get a real good sweat on, but sometimes the thought of getting on that treadmill, bike or elliptical trainer is just too dreadful to bear. Today is one of those days after seeing what Flirty Girl Fitness has to offer.

I'm a fraidy-cat and I went anyway's no secret that I do not enjoy scary movies, slasher films or anything that makes me want to curl into a ball, cover my eyes and have someone rock me to sleep, but I love special effects.  Go figure! So even though I hadn't seen any of the films being featured in the Cronenberg exhibit at TIFF, I was really excited to check it out.

There are no beans in Bean Town

For me, food plays a big part in my travel adventures.  A girl's got to eat, right? And what's better than home cooking?

Everywhere you go there's always that thing or things that everyone tells you, you absolutely HAVE to try.  In Boston it's clam chowder.  And trust you, me I ate A LOT of clam chowda.  Like, a lot.  As in, I'm pretty sure my blood type was chowder after 4 days.  I ate chowder from fancy restos, supermarkets, cafeterias, bistros, but my favourite was in Quincy Market.  DELICIOUS! Just the right ratio of clams to cream. mmmm.... (OMG.  I just realized how XXX of a comment that was.  I don't care, it's staying)
