ROM Prom

This year the Royal Ontario Museum is celebrating it's centennial year, so I thought I'd celebrate along with it, get all dressed up and head out to this year's ROM Prom.

ROM Prom is an annual event put on by the Young Patrons Circle as a way of celebrating the ROM and all of the donors who help to make the ROM fun, educational and beautiful. Every year the Prom has a theme and this year's theme was in celebration of the ROM's current exhibit - The Forbidden City. As an homage to Chinese culture oolong tea infused cocktails were sipped, Chinese cuisine tasted, fortunes were told  and a fan dance was performed. The beauty bar was an extra special touch offering make-up application and manicures.

In order enjoy of all the wonderful little extras ROM Prom has to offer, it's best to arrive early to avoid long line ups at some of the stations and take full advantage of the open bar and tasty treats.  My nails were already done and I like discover my future as it unfolds, so I didn't participate in those two activities, but I did score some pretty sweet false lashes.   You know, up the glam for this super glam event and the two photo booths.

We had a great night and danced until the music stopped our stilettoed toes could dance no more.  Until next year ROM Prom.
