Live on the Patio

I love Toronto in the summer.  I think it's the best time of year to visit and explore what this city has to offer. If you are lucky enough to live here, they city will give you lots of excuses to put off washing your windows, weeding your garden or starting that DIY.  The city wants to help you discover new things and enjoy what it has to offer, often for free.  That's what took me to Live on the Patio at Roy Thomson Hall.

Live on the Patio is a weekly concert event happening right outside Roy Thomson Hall every Thursday in July (with a bonus one in August) for free.  It's a great way to unwind after work with a drink and a tasty treat from Barque Smokehouse as you sit back and enjoy the wonderful sounds of their weekly featured bands. Drinks are reasonably priced and a nibble will run you $5.  I ate my brisket sandwich faster than I could take a photo of it.

Their opening week celebrated the Toronto Urban Roots Festival (TURF) that was in town over the weekend.  That was great news for me since I wasn't going to be able to attend the festival, but wanted to hear some of the bands.

Be sure to check their website for the list of upcoming bands.  See you on Thursday!
