I'm not going to lie, I'm not the kind of girl who is enchanted by beautiful gardens and colourful flowers, but sometimes when you travel with a buddy you've got to compromise a little and check out the stuff that makes them happy. And that's how I ended up at the Jardin Lumiere on opening weekend.
The botanical gardens are located in Olympic Park and are annexed to the Biodome which I have promised myself for the nth time, I will see the next time I'm in Montreal. We wandered the gardens for about two hours in the late afternoon in the hopes that we would make it to the Chinese garden just as the sun began to set. Wouldn't you know it, our plan worked!
Unfortunately, half the population of Montreal had the same idea, making it one crowded stroller-filled event. Setting the human distraction aside, the setting twinkled and and the reflections in the pond danced.
